New Opening: Heist Bank, Paddington

Heist, Heist Bank, 5 North Wharf Road, Paddington, W2 1LA

Heist Bank is a new all-day hangout opening in Paddington on Wednesday 29th June 2016. Located just off the canal in a large, light filled space, Heist Bank will specialise in wood-fired pizza, beer and fresh flowers, bringing something entirely new to the area.

Operating as a relaxed day to night venue, Heist Bank’s freshly made pizzas will be accompanied by a wide selection of local beer, wine and cocktails, perfect for quick lunches, post work drinks or weekend parties.

With a laid back common room feel, Heist Bank will be filled with seasonal flowers, all available for purchase at its in-house artisan florist from Botanique, who launched their first flower shop on Exmouth Market in winter 2015. Meanwhile, bikes stationed outside will be available to borrow for guests to explore the canal and local are.

Shipped straight from Italy, Heist Bank’s wood burning oven will turn out a selection of delicious pizzas featuring local cheeses, cured meats and seasonal toppings. There will also be a range of small plates on the menu including cheese curd and olive doughnuts alongside light, summery snacks such as watermelon with labneh and toasted seeds.

The menu will also feature large dishes such as slow-roasted lamb, steak and trout, all cooked to perfection in the wood burning oven.

A Mr Whippy ice cream machine with grown-up toppings will take care of pudding.

With beer as a focus, Heist Bank will offer 12 local brews on draft, from the likes of Magic Rock, Beavertown and Siren, which will also be available to take out in Growlers.

The cocktail list will be a ten strong menu of classics using high quality ingredients. Continuing the floral theme, beer mats and take-out pizza boxes will be illustrated with original floral designs by young British artists.

Large serves to share (20-25 people) are available for party pre-order. They will be served in large demijohns with taps enabling guests can help themselves to cocktails throughout the party.

The 6,000 square foot site will feature a fully stocked bar, restaurant area and an outside seating space for 50. Inside the interior has a cool communal feel, with long bench seating, comfortable sofas, an Art Deco French foosball table and a specially commissioned pool table custom built by award winning artist-designer Cléon Daniel.

An impressive double height installation from graffiti artist Pure Evil will be a focal feature across the venue’s two floors and walls will be adorned with canvases from Thierry Noir. A private party room in the basement for 45, will be complete with karaoke, old Nintendos and self-service beer kegs.
