Thai Silk Southwark

Thai Silk, Isabella street, Southwark

Turn left out of Southwark station and left again onto Isabella Street there’s a lovely little row of restaurants and bars. One of these being Thai Silk with a restaurant area as well as a separate cool bar area.

We had a set meal for two which was waaaay too much food (not a bad thing) with various dishes and a choice of a main.

A Selection of Sesame Minced Prawns on Bread, Vegetable Golden Bags, Chicken wrapped in Aromatic ndan Leaves, Stuffed Chicken Wings and Crispy Noodles. All served with a Variety of Dips.

Tom Yum Koong-Hot and Sour Prawn Soup flavoured with esh Lime Leaves & Lemon Grass. This was deliciously spicy and then perfectly timed your mouth is cooled by the sorbet.

Lime sorbet- a very welcome addition

Poo Nim-Wok- fried Soft Shell Crabs with Black Pepper Sauce

Nue Yang Kiewwan-Grilled Sirloin of Beef served with Traditional thai Green Curry Sauce. The beef here was cooked pink and perfect and dressed with a spicy and creamy Thai green sauce.

Wok- fried Mixed Vegetables with Oyster Sauce and Phad Thai Noodles with Bean sprouts, vegetables & Peanuts

Mixed fruit platter

Fantastic food and also serving some good pale ales like little creatures and Sierra Nevada. Really recommend this spot and you don’t have to go far to carry on the evening, with their own cocktail bar just next door.

Thanks for reading 💋

I was a guest of Thai Silk and all views are my own.
